EH&S Overview TheDepartment of Environmental Health andSafety (EH&S) manages and coordinates occupational health, environmental, and safety matters for Iowa State University (ISU). The EH&S safety programs includes: Biosafety, Environmental, Emergency Management, Fire, Health and Safety, Laboratory, Occupational Health, Radiation, and Training and Communication. EH&S provides safety program assistance for departments, safety program implementation for ISU, safety related inspections, regulatory interpretation, and employee safety training. Detailed information pertaining to these and other EH&S services is available on the EH&S website. The website also provides access to ISU policies, guidelines, publications, safety-related references, regulatory issues, training information, and forms. EH&S is the primary contact for federal, state, and local regulatory agencies regarding matters of employee health, safety, and environmental pollution control.
