13 Employee Helpful Stuff BUSINESS CARDS Business cards will be provided to EH&S staff based on need. Please request business cards through the appropriate program managers. The clerk IV processes orders and maintains copies of departmental business cards. COMMITTEES Internal EH&S internal committees include Department Activity Committee, Safety Committee, and Staff Recognition Committee. Committee information can be found at H:\AllStaff\Committees . Program managers and directors will appointment committee members. Committee members will serve a two-year period. Appointments begin in March. Department Activity Committee – This committee plans social events for team building, camaraderie, and diversity. Safety Committee – Develop a learning path that defines each program area’s required safety training. Coordinate “safety walks” annually for each program area. Review review/ensure “safety walks” have been completed and identified problems/hazards corrected. Review monthly accident statistics and ensure that any EH&S incident reported is properly investigated and corrective actions put in place. Help promote and/or actively engage in UNSRV-defined safety initiative (injury reduction, seasonal safety concern, etc.). Staff Recognition Committee – This committee coordinates Directors Award, Longevity Awards and Retirement/Farewell celebrations when applicable. External Staff are encouraged to participate in external activities and committees within the university, community, and national; private consulting,mentor students, advisingstudent groups, or participating in civic groups. You must obtain the necessary pre-approvals, and then follow all university rules including the reporting of consulting activities. Search available university-wide committees.
