19 Employee Helpful Stuff students who use university vehicles must complete the EH&S Driving Policy online course on Learn@ISU. Reserve a departmental vehicle by using the check-out reservation system on the EH&S Intranet. See Intranet/ Reserve a Vehicle for more details, in this manual. Parking Tickets Staff members who feel they have been unjustly cited for traffic or parking regulations on campus may file an appeal at the Parking Division office. Any staff receiving a ticket when using a department vehicle must bring it to the attention of the director immediately. If a visitor to the department receives a ticket, turn in the ticket to the admin services coordinator for appeal. Visitor Parking and Temporary Parking Permits Visitors are not exempt from parking regulations. Detailed visitor parking information is on the parking web page. EHSSB has four parking meter spaces in Lot 120A. There are additional meter spaces at 4H Extension Building and Administrative Services Building (ASB). Visitor permits can be obtained online. The visitor must fill out th e online form ; provide vehicle information, who/where they will be visiting and payment information. Visitor permits have some restrictions: • Visitor parking permits may be requested for up to five days. • Visitor permits cost $5 for every day they are effective. • Visitor permits are valid in general staff and student lots. • Visitor permits are not valid in red reserve lots/spaces or in RH staff lots. Payroll Information Pay periods/Paydays For employees that receive pay on a monthly basis, pay for the current month’s earning is issued on the last working day of the current month. If the month ends on a Saturday or Sunday, payday will be the prior Friday. If the normal payday falls on a university-recognized holiday or a legal holiday, payday will be one work day prior to the holiday. For hourly employees that receive pay on a semi-monthly basis, they are paid 1/2 month after the completion of a pay period. Hours worked for the first half of the month (1-15)
