The primary location is theLearningCenter.TheEOCprovides coordination of resources, information, agencies and executive decision-making in support of incident response, and recovery. The EOC is staffed by the ISU Critical Incident Readiness Team, departments or other units with direct incident management responsibility, or with significant incident support or resource responsibilities. Outside agencies including City of Ames, Story County, private sector, non-governmental organizations such as the American Red Cross, hospitals, and the Salvation Army may also be represented in the EOC. The Director of Emergency Management and University Emergency Manager have direct responsibilities in the EOC when operational. Job aid guides are intended to provide guidance to individuals assuming roles in the Emergency Operations Center during an emergency incident. The aids are provided in a checklist format, and may be used during the incident to be certain all tasks are completed properly. EMERGENCY RESPONSE MATRIX A matrix has been developed that lists incidents, notification source, who to contact during business hours or after hours, and actions for during bonuses hours or after hours.
